Whats the fudge up? haven't changed any properties, the correct speakers are set up, I can hear my modem. but no sounds from games or otherwise and it's not muted on desktop?

Most modems have their own little on board speaker.
Does SP2 do THAT much? Mine installed with no hiccups, but I've seen topics in many forums blaming SP2 for every conveivable PC mis-hap.. :P
So when you say you haven't changed anything.....you might have just installed SP2? Lol. Just a minor change then!
I dont entirely remember if it worked after I installed service pack 2, could this be the root of evil?
