I love football, as I have said before and I think it's wonderful how in the USA the World Cup for women was attended and not treated like a joke - it certainly isn't a joke now, however men look at it, in which ever way, I'm sure you all would find women's football entertaining!! USA won it, and the level of football outclassed many Premiership games - anything you can do, we can do bet- attempt to do as well :)

It's really healthy too, and I'm not a bad player! I've watched Arsenal women play a few times, and they're without a shadow of doubt the best!!!! So, I can't wait for the sport to become just as popular - match of the day, or whatever it will be called will show women's games too and maybe the crowds will get above the 3000 mark in this country!

What do you think of that then fellas!

World Cup 2000 USA. Speaks for itself, but I know what you mean we're more fragile you know! But about the speed? I'd beat you in a race! 100m = 11.89s ;)

I have nothing against womens football but I would not bother to watch it - even though Arsenal seem to win most of the honours each season.

There are some good players in the womens game (like Marian Spacey) who do have technical ability. However, there are two other ingrediants that make football what it is and they are SPEED OF PLAY and PHYSICAL CONTACT, both is in short supply in the womens game (naturally).

I suppose the target for womens football is to reach to status that womens tennis has acheived. Womens tennis is probably more entertaining than the mens due the fact that reduced power in the shots result in longer rallies. However, the fundamental difference is that football is a contact sport and matches without a high degree of physical contact are not entertaining (go to a testimonial match and you will see what I mean). It is for this reason that I doubt womens football will ever catch the imagination of the viewing public in the way womens tennis has done.

Are they any good? It can get very agressive, and competitive but it just shows that 'the undercover game' is about to become more popular with a bang - the beautiful game, for you lot at least, is gonna get a whole lot prettier! In a matter of speaking at least!
