Well I have another one involving Rare!
Ever noticed how Rare’s Gameboy games that happen to have an N64 bigger brother don’t always make sense? Perfect Dark for example, in the 64 version of the game Joanna is shocked to see aliens! But in Perfect Dark on the Gameboy that is based before the 64 version she already knows Elvis? That doesn’t make sense.
Conker’s Pocket Tales one excellent game but instead of a violent, rude and funny it was a cute platformer that was in the same league as Mario and Banjo Kazooie! But how can one game be out of controllably rude and violent whilst the other cute and fluffy?
My mission was to find out but the only thing I could come up with is the theory that the Gameboy adventures are an alternate dimension to the 64 versions. For example if Conker listened to his parents he might of turned out the way he was in Pocket Tales but if he didn’t he would be the way he is in Bad Fur Day!
This was a theory and I had no more evidence other than that. But then Rare finally reveal the Gameboy Banjo game that was announced a while back but just never appeared. This Gameboy Advanced game (Banjo Kazooie: Gruntilda’s revenge) is an alternate Banjo Tooie. It is what would of happened if Klungo rescued Gruntilda instead of her sister!
Is this proof? Does anyone have another theory? What games could Rare plan for the future? Will Saberwulf appear on the Gamecube and be different to the GBA version? Will we see more cute Conker games on the GBA? Rare could have so much fun with this! A interesting future indeed!
Here’s to the future

As for plot messing, it happens all the time.
The palagic 2 on Perfect Dark - a government submarine stolen by datadyne.
The palagic 1 on the gameboy one - a datadyne ship?
Something went wrong!
