the goverment are looking at stoping smoking in all public bars, do u agree with this?, and smokers would u still go out knowing you cannot smoke inside the establishment?.

personally i think it will lead to a lot more trouble on the street more fighting, vandalism....so i think even if they have separate rooms for smoking .......

its true though, the goverment needs to think about things, they ban smoking, then they are not solving the problem,

I disagree, it'll be the pubs in the firing line if they don't uphold the law on their premises.

Because the government makes so much money on taxes from them. Much more than is spent on the NHS for smoking related diseases.

They have large fines for loitering too. Banning smoking itself would have no real effect.

It's the most pointless thing in the world, couldn't care less if they banned it.

I can't understand for the life of me (literally) why it wasn't banned or became socially redundant and shunned after the tabbaco companies remembered to tell everyone that infact, whoops, yes, we do put addictive stuff in here accidently on purpose, sorry about that, dear loyal slaves, and it was discovered that (by some crazy coincidence!) setting fire to a tube of paper filled with hundreds of chemicals you'd usually wear rubber gloves to handle and some good ol' fasioned tar, then sucking in the fumes (but oh-no-it's-alright because-it's-got-a-filter-on-the-end you idiot), letting them work their magic for a bit, then breathing them in other people's faces probably wasn't the most healthy of things to do doing.

It'd be nice to not come out of a pub smelling of fags.

*Sighs* And yes, I'm aware of the double meaning of fag..
