This is a poem I've made up, because we're doing a fund raiser for the unfortunate at christmas time. I thought I'd make it so we can all think about the people not recieving anything this christmas.

Think over in Africa
Or even on the streets
People there recieve life
as their christmas treats

When unwrapping presents
And eating your roast
The boys and girls there
Can easily become ghosts

Think of the babies
Who's lives have no worth
Because there mums
Had died giving birth

Now treasure your christmas
Be thankful you're not there
And if you get some money
Surely you could spare

If you pass a person
Collecting money for them
Try and give a pound
You can help stop the mayhem

I've got a few scribblings written down somewhere, random little lyrics or whatever, back from when I was in what almost became 2 bands (But actually did nothing at all for various reasons!), maybe I should look them up and post them online.

Just to see what the hell I was thinking a couple of years ago, as much as anything else!

Rhytm thingy: Yeh, but I'm not sure if you realise all of my poems get made up on the spot (except the one in my SSC3 story, I was stressing over it for hours!)
Wish thingy: What Al said, it might help :D

It may not be as hard as you think. Just pick a subject you feel strongly about, lie in bed at night thinking about it. Then let the words flow the next day.

Just makes me wish I could write this sort of thing!

Good stuff. I like the thought that went into your poem and some of the rhymes, the only thingthat let it down was a lack of rhythm.
