Yeah, Xbox's nexxt 'killer app' turns out to be nothing more (although thats relative) than a good multiplayer with a almost bonus single player thrown on.

That's true. The magazines didn't want to look daft by giving it a bad score after all the hype despite the majority of reviews openly admitting that the single player mode is fairly average.

I personally think if Halo 2 was multi-platform and less hyped it would have got lower scores than that.

If Halo 2 was multiplatform it would get around 9.3/9.4

If San Andreas was multiplatform it would get around 9.1/9.2

If Metroid Prime 2 was multiplatform it would get around 9.4/9.5

i dunno the original got 95% and with the new features of light and dark worlds and new laser/visor etc, plus the multiplayer it would have scored more than original logically speaking. i think i just wet myself in anticipation!

I'm sure Metroid's only getting such a massive score because NOM want to compete with San Andreas and Halo 2 by making it appear that the GC has a scarily high scoring game coming out. If it were released at any other time, I bet that Metroid 2 would have only got 92-3%.
