When Labour was seen to 'back down' on it's terrorism law plans recently, do you think the opposition actually scored a genuine victory? What if Labour set their sights deliberately too high (not involving a judge? Come on!) because they knew the opposition would oppose whatever plans they announced, at least in part.

So here we have an apparent 'compromise', but you have to ask yourself: did Labour actually get what they wanted all along?

I think it's largely irrelevant anyway, national security will do whatever they need to do regardless of the law, this just means they dont have to worry about getting caught.
