C'mon, what do you want in one?

Character Bios?
Weapon stats?
Legal gubbins?
Credits?
The last blank page of "Notes"?

I'm interested, c'mon, what do you feel you [B]need[B]?

I think I don't need anything.

Only a mong needs an installation guide (insert CD -> click install) and the first thing I do upon loading is to configure my own preffered controls.

And I'd rather not see any screens before I play the game, and I'd rather discover new weapons/characters by myself as you would in a real situation. And I've certainly never ever needed a page of 'notes' for any game, ever.

Are you completely blind?

But it isn't the only game, and if you are that desperate for the bleeding thing, it'll be on the CD.

I'm sure people purposly ignore posts, as I'm quite sure I've already said this threee times already.

Oh, and character bios are a bit pointless, seeing as the game itself gives you all the info you need on each character, and I'd much proffer G-Man to be showded in mystery than have a short story explain what his purpose is in the game.

Do people really read these, they appear at the end of the game anyway... gives you something to look forward to!;)

Always handy if you've run out of loo roll!;)

As fo support or who to contact if things go wrong: http://www.steampowered.com and use the forums like everyone else does.

Was quite impressed by the little manula the steam install supplied... 2 sided PDF mainly consisting of key layout.

Manuals are so "not needed" any more.

It's always nice to read about the characters, guns etc on the train home before you get to play it.

I wasn't complaining about not having a manual at all - I was just curious, as it's the first game I've got where there purposely isn't one.

I think people want something physical to sort of understand where the money has gone.

These days with patches coming out almost after a game has been released, parts of manuals are rendered useless immediately, such as the installation guide; with half life relying on steam for its installation this would be the case.

Besides lets save some trees...

You're clutching at straws now. Why?

You see, there isn't really a need for a large manual at all.................
