Requires brain capacity, practice, finesse and all other crap, just the same as anything else, except it doesn't involve moving limbs like the clappers. It's more exciting than fishing, and whatnot, and FISHING is a freakin' sport.
Is it because they're generally too fast? I admit that trying to watch and take in what's going on in a Quake 3 game is a bit much, but what about other games, like Call Of Duty, that are fairly medium-paced?
Perhaps it's just too easy to be a sport?
I agree though, fishing ain't a sport, more of a hobby. It's also the perception that gaming originated from small, dark rooms with the lone flickering monitor; a far cry from the "outdoor appeal" that fishing attracts, despite it not requiring much muscle movement. Or thought.
