So, we seem to have been overrun by an epidemic of people using '>' in place of 'greater than'. It's a sad state of affairs that the use of English has come to this, I suggest we all rebel and sign up as supporters of the 'Campaign for Real English'.
On the plus side, everyone is demonstrating a good grasp of fundamental mathematical symbols.
