Whoa, GTA 5 is out?!?

I thought it was San Andreas.

(GTA : VC and GTA : SA are built on the GTA : 3 engine hence not in the same series.)

Yep.

It is cheap and it would have saved me £33 if I didn't buy them when they were new.

GTA:2 used pretty much the same engine as the first game though.

A game using the same engine doesnt stop them from giving the same name with a different number. EG, football/wrestling/racing games

Rockstar have called it the GTA3 trilogy.
So ... whatever. Technically, it's GTA5. But people are pedantic whingers - it's doesn't matter.

Hopefully, though, it means we'll get something a little more original / good next time.
