I've liked him for as long as i can remember, used to look forward to him doing the opening voice over on the 11 o'clock show. I think it was the just barely disguised comtempt in his voice.
Great bloke, sadly missed.

And Matthew Wright still stalks the Earth with his smug grin. I can't claim to have ever listened to his radio show, or to Peel's show in fact, but if they played good music and knew how to jam then 'tis a sad day.

Although he did get stitched up by BrassEye, and he did that rubbish camcorder show with idiots, then an advert for bad rock anthems.

So Tommy Vance and John Peel die within a few months of each other.

Yet Steve Wright continues to draw breath.

Aha, that was the best programme catchphrase ever. Shame they started cramming the rock into a five minute segment and playing crap the rest of the time.

The best stuff of his career was definately his voice overs.
