Post what you think about the Australian Grand Prix here in this topic.
I have just seen the start and coulthard got off to a flyer and Raikkonen recovered pretty well. I think I will find out the result when i wake up though as the race won't finish till about 4.30. Hope Coulthard or Button can get a good result in this race!

A marshall was killed at that corner about three years ago and the first racing lap of an F1 race there saw a car somersault into the gravel trap Schumacher was sitting in at 100mph+, so waving marshalls on to the course to come and give you a push when all you're going to do is drive straight back into your garage at the end of the lap is pretty inconsiderate and unprofessional.

It was Schumacher's fault but everyone makes mistakes :)

As for the marshall's thing..pfff, please, so minor.

I think my last posting agreed with you guys that he was the making of his own demise, as for the fine for putting marshals at risk?? get real! the marshals were not that close to the incident or if they were they were in the wrong place, all Marshall are volunteers not one is paid they do a terrific job ( I know I have been one) and I do not beleive for one minute that any driver goes out racing intending to harm any one let alone a marshal.

Nice bit of his own medicine then really. He's ran enough people off the track in his career

It was his own fault though, he squeezed Hiedfeld onto the grass. That wasn't exactly sporting of him, it's a pitty Heidfeld had to retire too as a result. And Ferrari should be fined for putting those Marshalls at risk.

It is good to see new teams winning and hopefully we will see many more this season, after all I think that was one of the reasons for changing some of the rules this season. I cant comment on the Schumaker incident as I have not yet watched the race,

As they pounded down to Turn Three the younger German pulled up on the inside of the Ferrari, only for Schumacher to move over on him and put him on to the grass. As they arrived at the corner Heidfeld was unable to brake properly and they touched. The Williams was an immediate retirement, and Schumacher trailed slowly to the pits to retire.

But reading that report would suggest that it was Schumakers own making as you say.

Indeed, Schumacher's jink was as clear-cut as in Jerez, it was blatantly his fault. Well done to Fisichella, who has always been spectacularly rapid but has never had the equipment to shine.

It depends on what you term 'fail to finish'. Button was outside the points in 11th, so on the last lap, he turned into the pits, therefore not taking the flag and allowing himself a free engine change for the next race. For all intents and purposes, he was 11th but officially, he didn't finish.

As for Schumacher, it was his fault in that he forced Heidfeld into a position where his brakes would be less effective and he couldn't go anywhere than into Schumacher.

Ah but in fairnes to Mr Schumaker he was ran off the track! even starting from last he could still have won the race as he has proved before, the ferrar's are still a force to be reckoned with as the second place proves.

Biggest dissappointment of the race is that Button failed to finnish.

Red Bull Racing are the team that have shocked me as they have done so well and as you can see from the finish theres no sign of Michael :)
