But generally from mainstream to mainstream, they're technologically about a year ahead of the UK.

I think that's a bit of a myth. They develop very advanced technologies and are more prone to buying them.

But you could easily get them yourself.

Im still on 56k. Its rubbish having strict parents :D

You can get upwards of 10mb on College and Uni pipes, more so if hardly anyone is using them.

Well I have 10mb, 40 isn't that far removed.

Broadband is old already! 1 and 2 MEG broadband are in now. In Japan they are onto 40 MEG broadband. They are in the year 5600 though lol.
