Only if its legeal. Which i don't think is possible.

Oh and if you want to download music, just be happy in the knowledge that while you're doing it, you're getting loads of ad and spyware pumped into your computer. So it's not "free".

But most of the time people say that downloading music actually encourages them to buy more music that they would have. It certainly does for me.

The music industry makes so much money from mobile phone ringtones that downloading tracks doesnt make much difference anymore. In fact, it can easily be argued that the influence of file sharing has actually helped evolve the music industry, making it more consumer-friendly.

Well, yeah, to be honest. Most the stuff on programmes such as WinMX is shareware anyway - in other words - most people bought the CD in the first place so you're not really 'doing anyone out of something'.

It's not hugely different to taping something off the radio.
Personally i've not got a lot of money so i prefer to listen before i go out and buy, but i wont buy an album unless i can find at least a couple of tracks i really like, if thats the case i'll take one track and that'll be it.
