Hey all,

I have surfaced from the depths once more to request your opinions on the visual design of a site I have made, not the code side, I know thats crap and needs converting to include CSS properly, but thats a job for a rainy day.

Yea, it's quite a nice layout, could just be me but some bits take a while to load. Overall it's quite a nice site, easy on the eyes.

Ok calm people, I welcome code comments because when that rainy day comes I can edit the site. It was essencally a quick design I wanted to get completely done in a day, which is what I did.

So, general concenses is it's looking ok?

So you used over 4000 characters to say "Looking OK though."
I thought your answer related to load times / files size - how would this affect the visual look of a site ?

It's just an observation - don't take it seriously...

Aye, Tyla is right, forget about using tables and embrace CSS and xHTML strict.

That'll learn ya.

With a bit of though, you could reduce your load times/file size on that TS site by 40% just by replacing:

Not an image in site. Have a look at:
http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/

Nice tutorials on design navigations using lists and CSS. Well worth learning.

Looking OK though.

No background change? Even after I CTRL + F5...

It's all going good on my site. I've got a brand new completely W3C invalid site that looks great and an even better PHP + MySQL backend that has no validation what-so-ever and that's open to abuse by anyone!
