Not because he's a paedophile (someone bumming starstruck 15 year old boys is no worse than shagging starstruck 15 year old girls as far as I'm concerned...), but because...well, it's Jonathan King.

'cking ananova....

Paedophile pop mogul Jonathan King will freed from prison on parole in four weeks, his lawyer insisted.

Giovanni di Stefano dismissed a report that King, sentenced to seven years in November 2001 for sex offences against youngsters, had been told that a parole application is to be torn up.

Mr di Stefano produced a copy of a Parole Board decision dated February 17 2005 confirming that the successful music producer was "suitable for early release on licence".

Mr di Stefano said: "Parole has been granted, Mr King will be released on March 29, not the 28th because that's Easter Monday.

"He will be released at 8.30 in the morning from HM Prison Maidstone, he has fulfilled the criteria."

His comments come after a newspaper report said that victims had been told that King had not been granted early parole and may have to serve his full sentence unless he accepts his guilt.

King, 60, was convicted of sexual offences against five boys aged 14 and 15 between 1983 and 1989.

King, who had his first hit with Everyone's Gone to the Moon in 1965 and produced records for Genesis, hopes to revive his music career upon his release.

His parole conditions include a ban on working with children, staying at a specified address and not receiving visits from anyone under 18 without permission.

That's because Ananova changes their links occasionally i.e. file them under different sections, or change link numbers if if it saves them time to rearrange stories.

I can't do that either, mainly thanks to these work computers having right-click disabled. Bloody over-protective techies.
