I've got a script in a page on an https server, and after authentication I want it to read and write to content on the http server for the site. But obviously I can't, or I wouldn't be here! I've also got a mkdir that isn't working for the same reason(s), and after having a bit of a nose I think it's either to do with safe_mode, or the UID/GID, but haven't been able to rectify the problem yet. Anyone else ever had a problem like this? I think it's quite common, but I don't know the work-around.
Cheers breddas
EDIT: Also, what are the security implications for turning off safe_mode for the operation? No, not the one to reduce my penis size hyuk hyuk...
