How do I find this out?

The glorious Plusnet are giving us the fastest available speed in our exchange etc.

We're already on 1mb, and so I'm wondering if 2mb is even available in our area. Cheers.

My part of Scotland is "RURAL" we will never have cable but our exchange is Broadband enabled (thank goodness) and was enabled before some of the larger towns!? I am a good friend of the BT Engineer who looks after it and he says that once enabled most exchanges are capable of really fast speeds i.e. over 2mb BUT at a price! and thats the stumbling block so he says as BT do not want to do the work so that other companys can reap the benifits. its a vicious circle it would appear.

Like my scummy part of the Country :(

I am going up to 2 mb and looking forward to it 4 and 8 must be awesome! some cable do a 4mb at the moment? I am sure we have friends in the Birmingham area who had the chance of 4mb but they are on cable some parts of the Country will never have cable.

Yar 4mb and 8mb trials begin in april.

Plusnet are rumored to be trailing 8Mb with BT for those near exchanges
