As for premium downloadable content, it makes very clear that you have to pay for it and then it gets you to confirm it and everything.
Reason for the credit card is so that you are over 18, or have a parent (or legal guardian) who has given permission for you to use it. You see some games have premium downloadable content, which costs £3. PGR2 had extra cities and cars for £3. That gets charged to the card, if you decide to download it.
That's what the card is for.
If you dont get the started kit though, you need credit card to start paying immediately.
Anyone actually know how much subscription is a yr? I'm only a month into my 12 free however was just wondering. Someone said £40 and others say £10.
Microsoft are just trying to make more money from the people who will forget about it and forget to cancel... :D
