If a person, or a group of people, were a liability and a threat to the public, with no way of changing this behavior, wouldn't it be better for them to be locked up, or even killed? Take this for example:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4297449.stm

On top of the inhumane but signifcant issue of him draining up NHS funds and other resources, he is a threat to the community. Despite being released after 18 months in a secure unit, his first instinct upon his "self release" was the sole intent of killing a random person. And that he did. So obviously he can't be cured then, either.

And to those who say it's the humane thing to do; "Oh, he just needs more time, and he can't help it etc."; well yes, it is on the if his condition is improved while in care. But no, "his voices" soon returned with the kill command.

So, post your opinions.

Ive thought that some radical solutions to criminals like rapists and paedohiles is to remove the source of the problem, castration. For serial killers i think medicine would be greatful for a few more "animal" test subjects. They arnt even acutalll aniamls, animals never kill their own kind for no obvious reason, for food, terratory, mating rights etc nevr malice and sadism.

Nah, let him watch other people kill other people, punish him>
Tell him he's not allowed to do that.
Make him jealous, and squirt water in his eye.

Jsut don't be near him when he's released.

Let him go on a killing spree, you know, get it out of his system. He'll soon get bored.

Or make him kill an entire village, like when a parent catches their child smoking, and makes them smoke a crateful. These should work.

Yeah, he managed to escape from his clinic because of lack of nurses (read: guards). But you're right, it is a bit messed up; nutcases with previous physical abuse to others should be locked up in jail rather than lounging about in the public.
