Are IgloosŪEskimo Inc. warm inside?

If so, why?

It's blocks of freaking ice, ice is COLD therefore it should be like a freezer.

And if it was warm inside then wouldn't the Igloo melt, covering the eskimos and optional seals in icy icy water, giving them bronchitis?

Explain.

snow insulates because it prevents the conduction of heat by convection. It also reflects infrared heat radiation. As long as an igloo has ventilation, it can reach degrees of up to 32C. It doesn't melt because the actual snow/ice of the wall is at 0C.

I believe the cold air outside keeps it frozen, in spite of the warm temperatures inside, due to the block being subjected to both sets of heat.

Think of it like the windows on your house, they are cold to the touch on the inside (and outside) in spite of it being warm inside your house...
