Most people tell me to feel good you need to do regular excercise and eat healthily, to me thats a lie. I feel much better sitting on a sofa with my girlfriend eating my pizza watching my DVDs lovely.

I know what you're saying, but I'm starting to get what they're saying too.
Perhaps it was getting into martial arts that sort of got me more sensitive to how my body is. Did I always used to feel like this a night after eating a Donner Kebab? :-S
