Yeah, I heard about this on Radio 4 this morning. Sad.
Didn't he write books and articles about the state of America? And he decides to kill himself? No manners, but what a critic.
I know him best from the commentary track from 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'. Funny guy, pretty f---ed up for sure, but didn't expect this. Maybe he couldn't handle getting old. Hope he left a note. RIP.
Very sad. 'Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail' is one of my favourite ever books. I also read him descirbe Tony Blair as a 'prissy little wh*re' in an interview, which I thought was the greatest description ever.
