I know, I know... But there isn't really a TV forum is there?

Well, I kinda disconected my Sky cable from it's little plug attachment while trying to move it to a different room...

What can I do? I have the wire with a couple of wires sticking out of it. But the plug is stuck inside my window... Like, lodged in the hole it was put through (drilled hole, about 1 inch, maybe 3/4 inch).

Heeeelp!

Meh, I've got it working. But how would I get it through the window?

It will work, as long as you call up complaining of a no satellite signal, go through the connection check and then tell the operator that the dish input cable is loose. And its £65 for a service call.

Won't work as it's a user caused problem, not one caused by their nstallation. They'll charge you £40 to re-do the install even if it's just the cable.

Any AV/Electrical Store, you want a female coaxial plug. They simply screw onto the end of the cable.

Any DIY Store, the expandable foam filler is the best as it gurantees a good seal and can be smoothed off afterwards too.

Yup, simple silicone sealant.

Cunning.

But I got it out of my window now :D.

But er... How would I get the cable back through the hole? Is it one of those damn "ship-in-the-bottle" type answers?

Cool, cheers Tyla.

Where can I buy these coaxial plugs?

Also, where can I buy silicone filter?

Finally, how are you meant to plug the rest of the gap "around" the wire (inside the little hole)? Silicone?

Cut the cable and attach a new coaxial plug (simple process) and thread through a new hole filling the previous hole with silicone filler.

Have done this myself before and it's not a scary as it first looks
