A question I've been aching to put to a well educated and musically versed ensemble for a while now, but I couldn't find one so I'll have to make do with this forum.

Has anyone here actually heard of Talking Heads? Anyone a fan? They were a late 70s, 80s band that had a couple of number ones and loads of songs in the charts. Since, they appear to have been erased from musical history even though they are one of the best bands to have ever played.

Songs like Once in a Lifetime, Take Me To The River, Lifetime Piling Up etc... They also featured David Byrne (Lazy, a load of semi-wierd cool stuff), and were produced by that legend, Brian Eno. If anyone wants to know more (like you will) I guess I could email a song.

Yeas. The whole of Stop Making Sense is actually ace, especially the live version of Psycho Killer, and Burning Down the House.

Remain in light is definately THE album. A couple of the unreleased songs on Sand in the Vaseline are more than worth a look too.

It's quite hypnotic. "Remain in Light" - that's the album. Jazz/rock/world music. Awesome.

Superb band.
Pyscho Killer and Road to Nowhere my favs, and "Stop Making Sense" film made me want to wear an oversized suit.
And Once in a Lifetime has, possibly, one of the most oddly enjoyable videos.

Forgotten? Me and my mates grew up with them. I still remember seeing a picture of Bryne, huddled in a corner, looking not very well at all.

Yeah, I'm a massive fan. The album with Once In A Lifetime on (can't remember the name) is incredible, really great. They're like Can, but better and not from some strange country.
