I am a newbie on these forums, and as much as I don't mind having a name in a maroon/terrecota colour with the tag 'newbie', I think it would be to the benefit to a lot of members here if there was an option to type in your name and have stats revealed about you - just like the top 50 posters idea! This could also give your position in the 'league' of posters, and a reasonable outlook of how many words and posts you need, as it would be nicer to be labelled as a regular!

Yeah, by clicking on someones profile, it also displays if they have anyhting up for sale. Good idea.

The Hunt, I suggested an 'about me' page where the user can have the choice of typing in as little or as much as s/he wants. This was suggested about 1-2 months ago, I didn't really get that much of a positive response then, your idea would work well with mine...
