I just read this thing in an online newspaper: -

"They both loved each other;
but were forebidden to meet since a while;
she drank poison;
grieve-strucken he hung himself;
he died, but she survived"

Its a tragedy. It is sure tickling, but we won't imagine that girl's grief. He had to die someday, but in such a way?

No, the guy didn't know that his girlfriend was alive. He thought she had just died.

Well, one of my friends did it. Although I think that was more to do with the "anti"-depressants he was on.

This is too similar to the ending of Romeo and Juliet for me to believe it's true. Why would you hang yourself in grief if your lover wasn't actually dead?
