Anyone have any reccomendations for pain killers which are particularly effective for severe brusing?

Darn Kittens caused me to fall down the stairs last night, but I'm currently working through the pain (had to give an important presentation today) and it's starting to get to me.

I didnt run away i just covered my ears.. as i didnt know what it was.. But you falling on the floor kinda looked like Del Boy falling through the bar. But obviously with more force.

The phone call started off all concerned, then descended into hilarity. Mother-in-laws are particularly cruel. The whole time I lay there in pain.
