Someone help me, we have no chavs. Hard as it is to believe, in Morayshire, Scotland, the chav does not exist. The first anyone knew of them (no exaggeration) was little britain and all those annoying cash-in books like 'chav words' and 'the little book of chav'.

Instead we have Neds. Are there neds in England? It stands for Non Educated Delinquent,a nd they are superficially similar to chavs, but many actually wear jeans instead of trackie bottoms, and turboed fiat pandas appear to be the preferred mode of transport.

So what's up? Are there neds further down or chavs further up? Is anyone else experiencing this? Help!

Dresss sense (one half of body), cars driven, language (ours are still almost comprehensible) and weaponry. Instead of knives, ours go for broken bottles, a fair few have metal bars and many of the more backward varieties in our town (about 50%) go for sharp sticks.

Chavs is such a stupid English word.

Not as super gay as 'townies' though OR OR 'rude boys'.

You girly English.

They all come as subsets of one superset called "C*nt".

Set Theory there. I'd draw up some Venn diagrams, but, y'know.

chavs = charvas (Newcastle) = neds (Scotland?) = barrowboys (Derby)

They're all the same bar superficial differences. Think of the differences as regional dialects.

They will migrate North when it gets warmer.

They're all the same just with little variations. Like cute Pikmin beating up defenceless snails/old people.
