Okies, I have StyleXP on my system and used the custom boot screen option. Have done for a while.

I'm bored of it now and want rid. StyleXp doesn't have a 'remove' option on it though. So how can I go about getting rid of the custom one and having my PC revert back o the standard boot screen, as normal?

I've tried looking in msconfig, but there's still no delete option.

thanks :^)

Ah ha, that may be it. StyleXP had a little overhaul with the launch of SP2. It was one of the apps which failed after upgrading Windows, but the nice bods at TGT Soft released a free patch/upgrade to fix all that (SP2 even took you there to do it during the install!)

Haven't yet upgraded to SP2 as I haven't felt the need to.

In fact, there may be an update I have declined to install, due to it being for SP2.

I'd better check this out later! :D

You running SP2? As this ws when I last updated mine, and I'm almost positive (without looking at it) that it has the option to restore system defaults. Personally I've always avoided fiddling with the boot screen due to fear of funking it up!

Which version you using of StyleXP? As mine has a "restore" function in it to set it back to system defaults.
