I've been after a Fender/Squier Jazz bass for ages, and my mate told me they didn't have any in the local music shop. But I went in there this morning to look for myself, before I was going to get the train elsewhere, and left with a nice black Squier J-bass for £150. Was £180, but the shop-man knocked £30 off because it had three small chips on the front, which is why he'd been keeping it out the back! See, it pays to turn up at a shop before the staff.
I also found half a dead worm flicked up onto the case because my stride is so pimplike. Good day for me, bad day for the worm - karma?
