Called a customer on Friday to leave a message from my boss but the guy I needed to speak to wasn't in. The bloke who answered the phone said he would take the message. So, okay, I give him the message and when it comes to leaving the name of my boss, he repeated it to me with a query in his voice. When I confirmed it was correct he said "well you must be ...." and he was right, so we had a chat.
Now I know I vaguely recognised his name from somewhere but didn't associate him with the customer I was calling. Bugged me on and off most of Friday. Well until beer time anyway.
Forgot all about it today but decided to age some old files as I need the space. The first file I open to check has this guys name in it along with the company I was trying to remember on Friday.
Now that is weird but it answered my question and the coincidence made me smile. When I think about it though it does happen a lot that something I am trying to remember or find turns up unexpectedly.

Lost my mums wedding ring looked everywhere for it for days, was gutted that it was gone ..
