I was thinking of brand spanking new methods of getting more traffic to my site without actually paying for advertising (of course having a good content site is what i am still tryin to do!) when i got this great idea and just wanted to ask you pros if it would worK:
What i wish to do is to start selling something on my site, nothing major maybe just some t-shirts, humorous toys,dvd's or something like that. I would then like to sign my site up to sites like Commission Junction and offer the people something like 50% commission for every item they get sold for me. Now i know that every visitor they send me wont buy something but they took the time to click the link so they might actually look around my site increaing my traffic. And the link from the other site will hopefully raise my number of inbound links so will raise my google position.
Would this work in your opinion or is it a fools dream?
What would i need to go about doing if it would work?
