The monitor is broken. Woooo.

I think there's a dodgy connection somewhere as I've got the monitor in a position that it works fine. I know however that if I was to move the screen it would start flickering and go all white.

(I'm posting this now in case it randomly dies again. I'll edit the rest in.)

Ok, it's probably gonna die again now but I've got the basics down!

How can I sort this out? Is it easy to remove the screen and fix it or am I forked? If it's beyond help I'll just remove this screen and attach a TFT monitor to it so I'll have a funky looking PC.

It's an Iridium Starbook 865 and I've already emailed mobile-support about this to see what they can do.

It's also out of warranty, just like an iPod it's broken just after the warranty has run out!

I have to use a 'Key Disable' program on mine to disable my right Shift button, without it being disabled it causes the shift key to be held down almost all the time.
I hate laptops now, I really do.

Yep, which is why I'm getting a desktop after this thing finishes itself off.

Laptops are more trouble then they are worth.

In my opinion...

if you disassemble the laptop sufficiently then the screen will probably just screw off of the base.
