Don't have Winamp at work but try going to Preferences>Plug Ins>Output and checking its on the right one. Can't actually remember which is the right one though...

I was on a website that had a little music file on the homepage but that was about it.

There's only 2 and I tried them both and nothing.

Uninstall winamp and sound drivers, reinstall.
That's all I can suggest if it's a software prblem.

Well I already uninstalled winamp and nothing. How do I uninstall/instal the sound drivers?
Go to control panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Drivers. > Sounds and Audio Devices > Then uncheck the mute button.
Just hoping you're using Win Xp.
Allthough that might not be the problem.
It alters the volume.
