Hey,
Tis the time of year and all, so i need to think of a present. This little contraption called an X-Box sprang to mind as a piece of gear worthy of a place in my bedroom. Now, err..could you help me out.
There is a few things about the X-Box i dont understand and i need you to clarify a few things for me:
-Is the hardware different in a Crystal X-Box or is it the same as a Black X-Box?
-Do i need to buy a remote to watch DVD's?
-How do i setup X-Box LIVE, what is needed?
-Is Halo2 anygood?
-Is Half-Life 2 coming out on X-Box?
-Any good games you could recommend me, ie Goldeneye etc...
-Do you know any good deals about?
Thanks,
James

Same hardware, just a different colour of plastic.

> -Do i need to buy a remote to watch DVD's?

Yes.

> -How do i setup X-Box LIVE, what is needed?

Only requisite is broadband. See my own Xbox Live FAQ for more information on setting it up.

> -Is Halo2 anygood?

Single player is a bit short and nothing new. Multiplayer is one of the best of any games, ever.

> -Is Half-Life 2 coming out on X-Box?

Yes. At least it was confirmed a long time ago for it, not sure of current status.

> -Any good games you could recommend me, ie Goldeneye etc...

I mention a bunch in the Xbox Live FAQ, but in general I would say:
Halo
Project Gotham Racing 2
Ninja Gaiden
Rainbow Six 3
Amped
Morrowind
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Fable
Halo 2
ESPN NHL Hockey
Crimson Skies
Splinter Cell
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
Jet Set Radio Future
Burnout 3
XIII
Top Spin

ought to just about cover everything you could want. Plenty more great games out there.

> -Do you know any good deals about?

No sorry, don't really pay attention to them.

What is it like online, does you actually play as a team or do some idiots just wander off and try to be a hero?

It's co-op only. You control one set of 4 men and the other person controls the other set of 4 men. It's ideally that you both work together and I'd only play it with someone I knew.
