I wasn't surprised to see David Dein jump in with his 20-seconds of "No, no, no!" the day after these new plans were unveiled. I mean, take away even four of Arsénal's squad in the post-Seaman, Dixon, Keown, Adams, Bould, Winterburn-era, and what, if much at all, do they really have left?
The easy target here is Chelsea. Though, with John Terry and Carlton Cole already likely to feature in first-team plans anyway, they're already halfway there!
It's a brilliant idea, if you ask me. Even if it does only exist in the Champions' League and UEFA Cup as of next year, that's still a very good start - one that'll have teams thinking about youngsters domestically aswell, whether the FA (YEAH, RIGHT!!) and co. vote in favour of it or not.
It's no longer a case of British Football now. This involves every major European country and it's getting serious - [I]something needs to be done[/U].
