Right, so kinda * now because my whole idea for my English courswork turned out to be a big steaming pile of *.
Which was nice.

So, obviously, now I need a new idea.

It's for A2 English Language - an experiment type-thing, looking at two different texts from different sources / dates / for different audiences (or groups of texts) and reasoning out the whys and whereafters about the language used.

My new idea was about game reviews from sites that sell the actual reviewed game, and sites that are just for information. But there really wasn't much difference there.

I'd still like to do this - if anyone can find a game site who's reviews are so crammed with rhetoric you'll be handing over your soul before the page even loads. Or a gaming site especially for women? That'd probably be good.

Otherwise, I need something else along the same lines.
I need to get something concrete down by Friday and finish the whole shizbang by a week on Friday.

So, my lovely wonderful beautiful children o'i'Internet, I call up thee to come to my aid in this time of trouble.

Make up your own sites and use them for this exercise only. It's not like your teachers will check as they probably don't know how to use the internet.

Note:- The above relies on teachers still being as technophobic as they were in my school days

Magazines - and yes, that's a pretty good option.
It would involve getting up and going out, though, rather than sitting here on my fat ass. A terrifying prospect.

Some rubbish about using text-message language in chat rooms, seeing if people will use the same back again (code-switching) and then the same with normal language.
