"What's Wrong With The World?"

No, not a big ranty type topic, I'm doing a project with a friend, and it'd be really helpful to have answers to the question.

So, in your opinion, and if anything, what is wrong with the world? Generally meaning towards your view of humanity, but whatever's on your mind.

Um.. I.E. What do you think people should be more of, or less of? Things like that.

The world is perfect.
If we believe we can escape the extremes of the dualities we are sadly mistaken.
Existence will always be on a muddled knife-edge because personal oblivion is ever just round the corner, and this will always manipulate people's behaviour.

So death is what's wrong with the world. And it can't be fixed.

It exists.

A. EVERYTHING.

The White House is occupied by a lunatic.

Religious right wing types trying to impose their narrow minds on everyone else.

I'm not ruler of the entire world.

People should be far more open. Seems people are too afraid to talk about what they're really thinking/feeling, probably because of the fear of embarrassment, judgement, etcetc. It could get bitchy, but would still be nice.

People should be more sexy. Love themselves and their bodies. And of course, other bodies. :^)

And things should be cheaper to buy. Also the money thing below. Totally wasted on crap. I'm still peed about the Millennium Dome!

Money - Rich keep getting richer, the poor getting poorer. The western world has become so greedy, its all about the money. Also better government spending of money! Especially the British government! Did you hear about that computer system which cost hundreds of millions, and failed, so they mite have to scrap it! What a waste. Also the amount wasted on the politicians. One politician spent over 20,000 just on plants for his office in one year!! That is ludacrous!

Environment - No one cares about it. Even my post on Global Dimming went relatively unnotcied. The consequences have been known for decades, yet we are barely making changes to our lifestyles, even though the affects are starting to become apparent, particulary in the weather. Theres a good chance the surface of the Earth will be vastly uninhabitable within 100 years, starting in 50 years time. We have known this for years, yet we dont seem to care. We are ruining the future for the millions in future generations. We are taking away the chance of our children living a decent life, aswell as others. Not to mention causing suffering to those who have not contributed to the problem (people in LEDC's)

Law - Everyone is sueing everyone these days, especially in America. How can a burglar sue the house owner if he gets injured whilst breaking in, thats just illogical! Or those NYC kids sueing McDonalds claiming it made them fat. Thats just ridiculous.
Also some laws are pety and pathetic. Such as the Cannabis law. The amount of money the government could make if they legalised it (like in holland) is substantial, to say the least! It was on the BBC news the other night, saying how going from class B to C has saved thousands of hours of police time and money. Its less dangerous than alcohol in terms of danger to others. The only harm is to yourself, but thats your own choice.

I could go on for hours, but those are the three main things for me. Hope that provides inspiration :)
