A multitap is to be launched for the console, and some games will enable 8 players on screen at once.
You will definitely need a big TV to get the most out of that!

The graphics also look twice as pixellated :-D
Not that it will matter on the Gamecube.
As for the Multitap, there are planty of games with lots of players on one screen.
Wrestling, Smash Brothers, Sports games and games like them.
I'm not sure if split screen would work as well.

It doesn't have to be on the screen at the smae time. You could just play 8 player on the internet. That way you don't need a huge T.V. Or you could use to T.V's each with 4 screens on.
8 Players on screen? How does it split to give 8 on screen?
A three by three grid leaving a center free for something else?
Four by two, on a widescreen telly?
Or are there similar features to micro machines - all eight on the same screen somehow?
