With Sony's and Nintenedo's press conference supposedly being far better, I cant see the Xbox performing very well when it is released. Especially after reports of only 1 in 10 people in japan actually even knowing what the Xbox is.
Microsft's news at the E3 press conference was mainly old news. Yes, it was interesting maybe, especially Halo, but there was nothing groundbraking. The conference went from bad to worse when the demo failed to load on the console. The failure to even mention a european and japanese release date will not please us those outside of america.
A solid press conference from both Sony and Nintendo will not help Microsoft. The news that the Gamecube will be relesed 3 days before the Xbox in america at a far cheaper(a whole $100 cheaper)means that Microsoft will need to improve drastically to win over support. With the prospect of beeter games for the Gamecube it is certainly the console I would go for(as I already own a PS2). Even the PS2 is starting to prove its worth with internet capabilities, a hard drive and games like Tony Hawks 3, Silent Hill 2 and MGS2 just around the corner.
So am i being too harsh on Microsoft, are Microsoft going to prove me wrong a release one beast of a console that everyone should own, or is the damamge already done before it has even had a chance to shine

Yes, don't get me wrong, I am also looking forward to all the great Ps2 games, especially the getaway.
It's just that the Nintendo section interested ME the most. What with the GAMECUBE and G B A.
The internet for the PS2 sounds good as well though, doesn't it?

The only game that half-interests me is Halo, and that's it.
I would much prefer to read all the exciting GAMECUBE news.
