Has a single movie ever motivated you, made you do something differently or made you alter your life? Changed your opinion, opened your eyes to different cultures and types of people? I got this idea from reading a review on Henry: portrait of a serial killer. The lady writing the review said that she no longer goes to her car, without pepper spray and is now suspicious of men in her proximity. It disturbed her that much. I'm not expecting anything much like this in response, though I'm sure some of you will have had a least one inspirational movies experience.

No 'a films' has never changed my life.

As it is a grammatical impossibility.

I don't think a flim can actually change your life, sometimes after you watch a film you have a certain feeling or idea in your head for a while but it doesn't change your life.

Like when I watched Good Will Hunting and wanted to be a psychiatrist for a little while. It affects your life a bit, it doesn't really change it though

Hell yeah, after watching the first LotR film I was inspired enough to read the book.

Ten years old. A pirate copy of E.T. My Father tells me there's another film with an alien on afterwards. It's Alien.

I'm a SF and movie junkie at 31.

So yeah, I guess you can say a movie has changed my life.

[edit] And all you SF readers out here, I'll recommend The Algebraist by Ian M Banks. It's one of the most intelligent "space opera" and downright weird books I've read.
