Are these films any good?

I see that Supremacy is out on DVD from Monday, so there will presumably be a box-set out soon-ish.

I nearly bought Identity a while ago, as it was really cheap... but then I figured I'd wait until Supremacy was out and get the box set - if they were worthwhile.

The first one was a great film. The second one was just about as good but like most people have said, the camera work was shaky. I saw it at the cinema so maybe a smaller screen will lessen the effect of the shaky camera.

They are good.
However, shaky camera work annoys me. They just do it so you can't see how badly staged things are.

Taxi chase scene camera work was pap. Though I prefere that sort of camera to others in scenes like that as it gives it a bigger sence of franticness to it.

I found it mainly annoying during one of the scenes where he interrogates someone. Haven't seen the film for 4 months, so I can't remember who the hell it was. Greengrass should really use a steadycam :0P

By any chance was this dodgy camera work worse during the taxi chase scene?

Was gonna say exactly that. Think the director must have been the camerman for NYPD Blue in a previous life. Worth seeing if you enjoyed the first one and with an almost unrecognisible Eomer from LotR.

Identity is a great film. Smart, well made thriller. You may think differently about Matt Damon if you've seen Team America though...

The first one is brilliant..but the second one is a complete letdown (I'm still buying it to complete the trilogy which there is a 3rd one planned eventually). I don't want to spoil them but the second one just doesn't in any way live up to the quality of the first one, the action feels like a repeat of the first and the actual story had all of us falling asleep and I have never looked at my watch so many times during a film. Buy the first but rent the second unless you want all three eventually. Frist = quality, Second = boring.

The box set is out on Monday, too. I was gonna buy it, but I bought them seperately, as Play.com's description said nothing about the extras, suggesting to me that they're the inferior no-extra versions of each film.

Got Identity through Wednesday, and am expecting Supremacy tomorrow. My only complaint with Supremacy was the camerawork - it was very, very shaky at times. And they took a liberty with the books that upset me somewhat.
