I'm just repeating this very useful information for newcomers.
ps2 problems with the dvd player solved
LIP SYNC PROBLEM
Turn console on press triangle,select console,press triangle again then select yes on the diagnosis.
DVD RATIO
To adjust the ratio of your dvd's STOP the dvd then go into setup,select tv type and choose one of these options 16:9 (widescreen),4:3 bars ,4:3 pan scan.
I do not take credit for these, i just think people who haven't read past disscussions will like to know.

mine works fine with out doing any thing to it............ is that normal
