No doubt this will bring all the respective fanboys out of the woodwork, only to completely miss the point of the article and proceed to argue (yet again) about why Brand X, Y or Z is "the better console" and "how Sony killed gaming"...
But that aside, I post this link for the dwindling numbers of the more informed users out there who have more general and mature interest in gaming, and may otherwise have missed it.

It undoubtedly is, the first console to bring gaming into mass-market. As such, it's been great, (regardless of the flaws :) ).
