I read somewhere the other day that the recent tsunami may have had a longer lasting effect on the worlds weather, apparently the poles shifted by about a centimetre and the rotation of the earth speeded up by a fraction of a second. Also Texas has had snow for the first time in 86 years, southern australia suffered extreme hail and look at our recent storms...

About the snow in Texas - someone I know lives in Corpus Christi and send me a picture of snow on the palm trees...
