A St.Brigid's Cross is placed over the door of many Irish homes. It is a reminder of Brigid's aim to see Jesus in every person we meant (expect the fat and ugly) and that he can guide our lives, regardless of the challenges we face (unless they involve fat or ugly people)

The traditional material for a St. Brigid's cross is fresh rushes (or thrushes, if you can catch them / have caught it) but long drinking straws or raffia may be used instead. Users.

From the Roots Worship magazine back page, Jan/ Feb 2005 edition, £4.20 an issue. "Worship and leaning for the whole church - except the fat and ugly"

There's a new Lent litergy this issue as well, so snap 'em up quickly.

Amazingly, they are based in John Westley road.
What are the chances of that happening?

The editor looks like the devil, as an elderly woman.
All hail Jean Harrison.

I'm breaking copyright by telling you this, but the world needs St Brigid's crosses, and that's that. Up yours, Jean, with your crappy signature which reads "Jean" in 5-year-old's handwriting.

Fight the power!
