I realise that too, I bought an iPod then had it picked out of my pocket on the Tube. In terms of mp3 players, it's probably a very good thing it happened :-P
And am now getting £300 in insurance money very soon for it and I want an mp3 player, and I kind of want the Touch, but want some views on it first.
It's pretty likely that I'll get it :-)

I've just given up.
People are too stupid to realise that Apple's scams are getting worse and worse.
Firstly the iPod, which isn't ~that~ bad but is nowhere the best.
Then the iPod mini which is a complete waste of money considering it isn't that 'mini' and lacks loads of features seen on other players.
Now we've got this 'thing'.
Plus the one they've got lined up next is even worse!
"The iPod Onesong. You plug it in and it downloads one song for you. But here's the catch, it only plays half of that one song to have you gagging for the rest!"
