WWE management have decided that it benefits the company to have a close working relationship with Ring of Honour. Those who watch the B-Shows will have noticeROH stalwarts like Chad Collyer, 'Slyk' Wagner Brown and John Walters turning out as enhancement talent of late. Matt Stryker even got a spot on Smackdown as part of the 'Kurt Angle' invitational. Not only is the a great opportunity for some of ROHs finest to make an impression on WWE management, Samoa Joe is appafrently being lined up for a full contract as we speak. It also gives WWE useless Rookies to learn from some of the finest technical wrestlers in North America today on Heat and Velocity.
The talent exchange hasn't been all-one way either, although so far only WWE staffers Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley and Ricky Steamboat have turned out for ROH, but these names certainly help the promotion sell tickets!
I hope the WWE expands upon this opportunity in recent weeks by letting ROH have access to some of it's more experienced talents (Al Snow springs to mind, as he'd fit in so well in ROH...) and giving some ROH stars full contracts.
Paul London did some awesome RoH matches, way better than he's been allowed to put on in WWE so far. the talent in RoH is more varied and interesting... although i worry that not many of their workers are of the stature that the WWE are alledgedely looking for (6'4", 250, etc)
